The Point Lobos State Natural Reserve is located outside of Monterey, California. The landscapes and seascapes are breathtaking. This is the home to one of only two remaining natural stands of Monterey Cypress in the world. I found this tree sitting along the pathway through the Allan Memorial Grove. It stood there in silent testament to the endurance of the sturdy Monterey Cypruss.
