The Point Lobos State Natural Reserve is located outside of Monterey, California. The landscapes and seascapes are breathtaking. This is the home to one of only two remaining natural stands of Monterey Cypress in the world. I found this bleached out dead tree sitting along the pathway through the Allan Memorial Grove. It was emerging from a flowing sea of grass as if to be seeking resurrection.
