Guardian of the Stairs

The marble entrance to the Grand Hall of the Flagler Museum in Palm Beach, Florida is truly quite grand. Upon entering you are facing a short set of stairs flanked by four large columns, two on each side. These in turn are themselves flanked by marble benches which have as their armrests identical sculptures, of which this shot is a portion of.
