Winter Haven Lobby

This image is of the interior lobby of the Winter Haven Hotel in the heart of the Art Deco revival in Miami, the city with a constant pulse.

This image is presented in a "high key" fashion made popular during the 50's. It shows off the subtle transition from light to shadow.

Designed by architect Albert Anis, Winter Haven was built in 1939 as a simple but sophisticated oceanfront South Beach hotel, a premier getaway destination on the recently developed Ocean Drive in Miami Beach. Winter Haven retains much of the soul and elegance that defined that classic time period, including its original name and glamorous facade.
